Mariner Middle career fair enlightens students
Eighth-graders visit with local employees to learn about various jobs

Hundreds of eighth-graders descended upon the Mariner Middle gym March 27 to explore occupational options at the school’s inaugural career fair.
Planned by school counselors Frank Shockley and Jacqui Sheridan, the event allowed students to meet with local employees working in diverse fields to help them gain insight into their options as they prepare to transition to high school.
