I write in response to Bill Mailander’s letter, published on Oct. 4. While I agree that KSAs (knowledge, skills and abilities) are a priority, they’re not the only measures of a candidate. Beyond these measures are the candidate’s priorities for governing in the office they seek. In fact, I would argue they are even more crucial, since they define what the candidate will and will not initiate and/or support while in office.
Only one candidate for the state Legislature – Gregg Lindner – has both the requisite KSAs, with extensive business management experience plus eight years of service in office in Delaware and Chester counties in Pennsylvania before moving to Delaware, and also has the right priorities for our state. He is the candidate who has come out publicly in support of protecting reproductive rights, protecting and strengthening voting rights, and taking steps to protect us from the ravages of climate change.
I will be voting for Gregg Lindner for the Fourth District’s seat in the Delaware House of Representatives and urge others to vote for him as well.
