The Walk 4 Prostate Cancer will return for its second year, stepping off at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 13, Cape Henlopen State Park. Registration begins at 8 a.m.
Free PSA blood tests will also be available on-site for all participants. PSA screening is a crucial early detection tool for prostate cancer.
Business teams and individuals are invited to a sign-up social from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 24, at Crooked Hammock Brewery in Lewes. Local companies and community groups are invited to walk in support of early detection efforts in Sussex County.
Spearheaded by meteorologist Paul Williams, a prostate cancer survivor, the project is building momentum to raise awareness, provide free testing and bring community members together.
A portion of dining proceeds will be donated to the cause during an evening fundraiser Wednesday, Aug. 6, at Crooked Hammock.
