Sussex Tech Alumni Association names new board president

November 7, 2025

The Sussex Technical High School Alumni Association recently announced the appointment of Jeremy Dutton as its new board president.

A proud member of the Class of 1997, Dutton was a drafting technologies student during his time at Sussex Tech. As a Raven, he played JV baseball in his freshman and sophomore years, was co-founder of the Chess Club as a sophomore, wrestled for the varsity wrestling team during his junior and senior years, and was inducted as a member of the National Technical Honor Society and the National Honor Society.

Since high school graduation, Dutton has built an impressive career with Delaware Department of Transportation, where he has worked for nearly 20 years. He began his career in 2006 and was promoted seven years ago to chief estimator for Group 4 Construction.

“As alumni association president, my ambitions are to build a membership base to successfully promote the Raven Pride many of us had when we attended Sussex Tech as students, organize and facilitate activities to bring positive press and better knowledge of Tech's future ambitions as a school to the general public, and help build a better bridge between current students' ambitions to what the real world offers after they leave the Ravens' nest of Sussex Tech,” said Dutton.

Sussex Technical High School is a public school that prepares Sussex County students for future success in workforce environments, higher education and the military.
