Mariner Math League team prevails in middle school competition

The Mariner Middle School Math League team competed Oct. 22 against Fred Thomas, Beacon and Selbyville middle schools at Selbyville.

The seventh-grade Mariner team dominated the competition with six total points, earning a well-deserved first-place finish. Throughout the event, the team demonstrated impressive problem-solving abilities, sharp focus and strong collaboration, all skills they’ve been diligently building during practices and preparation sessions. Their performance reflected not only their mathematical talent but also their commitment to learning and teamwork.

"We are incredibly proud of their effort and excellence,” said Assistant Principal Dr. Emily Lehne. “This is an exciting start to what promises to be a fantastic season. Congratulations to the MMS Math League team!"
