Food Bank mobile-drive thru pantry set Nov. 21 in Georgetown

Ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, the Food Bank of Delaware is holding a mass drive-thru food distribution in Sussex County. The event will start at 9 a.m., Friday, Nov. 21, at Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown. The Food Bank asks that participants make sure their trunks or back seats are cleared out so volunteers can load food.

To help speed up the check-in process, preregistration is requested. On-site registration will also be available. Service will be first-come, first-served, while supplies last. Assistance is limited to one per household. Recipients must bring proof that they live in Delaware. A state-issued ID, utility bill or Delaware SNAP benefits card can all be used to show proof of residency.
