Humane Animal Partners offers monthly spay/neuter appointments
Humane Animal Partners recently announced the monthly schedule of feline spay/neuter days for its Sussex County location at 18675 Coastal Hwy. in the Midway Plaza north of Rehoboth Beach.
March and April dates will be reserved for feral cats only and offered free to the public thanks to a grant from Delaware’s Office of Animal Welfare.
The remaining dates will be for owned cats only. The cost for a feline male neutering is $75, and a feline female spaying is $95.
Appointments are required, and spaces are limited. To schedule an appointment, call HAP Rehoboth at 302-200-7159.
Those eligible for public assistance may qualify for a free spay/neuter voucher through the state’s Fixed & Fab Program; learn more and apply at fixedandfab.com. A limited number of vouchers will be accepted for each of the owned cat dates in 2026.
The feline spay/neuter dates for feral cats are Monday, March 2 and Monday, April 6, at the Rehoboth location.
Appointments may be made for owned cats to be spayed/neutered on the following Mondays: May 4, June 1, July 6 and Aug. 3. The Labor Day holiday will move the September spay/neuter date for owned cats to the third Monday, Sept. 21, and two more dates for owned cats will take place Mondays, Oct. 5 and Nov. 2, all at the Rehoboth location.
These clinics aim to make spaying and neutering affordable and accessible to Delaware residents, helping to reduce the cat overpopulation crisis in a humane and effective way.
“Simply put, our monthly feline spay/neuter clinics save lives. Spaying and neutering cats is one of the most effective ways to protect their health and reduce the number of kittens entering shelters,” said Leigh McKinley, Humane Animal Partners Sussex director. “These monthly clinics help lower financial barriers and make it easier for cat owners to do the responsible thing for their pets and our community.”
