Beebe Healthcare has placed one of its physicians on administrative leave and is investigating “disturbing” posts they allegedly made on social media.
Beebe has not identified the physician.
Although the doctor has been identified in social media posts, the Cape Gazette has not independently verified the doctor’s identity.
In a statement the healthcare provider said the physician has been placed on administrative leave during the full investigation and will not be seeing any patients.
“We fully condemn any abhorrent behavior behavior and empathize with anyone who was impacted by these deeply hateful comments,” the statement read, in part. “We have zero tolerance for divisive or discriminatory rhetoric or behavior of any kind and are committed to ensuring Beebe is a welcoming, inclusive, and non-discriminatory workplace for all who walk through our doors.”
