Let the Entertainment begin

All my projects begin with raw wood.
Once the wood has been ripped to size I then plane the pieces to ensure a smooth surface 
I then use the table saw to create the grooves for the inner door panel
After a while we have 4 doors
Now the hard part waiting for the glue to dry

Hi All:

I am starting my next project and I will not tease you.  This piece will be an entertainment center for a 43" flat panel TV plus Cable, DVD etal.

It will be made from Poplar and will be painted a very pale yellow/offwhite.  It will be fairly impressive 52" wide, 50" high and 14" deep.  The TV will sit on top and there will be four sections below for the components.  It will have 4 doors rather than 2 because of the space that this unit will occupy and the back will be finished because it is viewable.

I started cutting and plaining the smaller pieces and made the doors 1st.  I have found that doing so helps to ensure that the deminsions of the piece are achieved.

I hope you enjoy today's pictures.  The Entertainment center will take shape rather quickly over the next several days.
