DaVinci's Pizzeria delivers delights

Naples native Ernesto Carannante returned to Lewes this summer, bringing authentic Italian recipes back to the location of his former restaurant at 410 E. Savannah Road. DaVinci's Pizzeria recently announced it will now deliver.

Open since the end of June, Carannante, who owns several other Italian restaurants throughout the state, said he returned to Lewes after he found out how much the community missed his presence near the beach.

"I know a lot of people, and I know a lot of people will come to find me now that I'm opening back again," he said. "A lot of people don't know yet that I am here."

With his new delivery service and coupon incentives, Carannante said he expects his business to grow; and with his liquor license pending, he says the community will be eager to return for his authentic Italian specialties, pizzas, pastas and entrees.
