“Delaware State of Mind” to premiere Nov. 25

Release party benefits Epworth Skate Park
November 22, 2013

For lifelong Delawarean Morgan Shank, his first music video subject was a no-brainer: a homage to the First State.

Shank will be premiering his music video, “Delaware State of Mind,” at a special release party, 11:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 25, at Big Chill Cantina.

Big Chill is donating 10 percent of the sales from the premiere to the Epworth Skate Park project.

Born and raised in Dover, Shank has spent the last three years working in Rehoboth Beach and pursuing his hobbies of music and film.

He directed and performs in the clip, with musical assistance from local artist Morgan Burris.

While Shank has kept the contents of the video closely guarded, it does feature state landmarks from Wilmington to Rehoboth, with a special response to Mike Myers’ sarcastic “Hi, I’m in Delaware” dig from “Wayne’s World.”

Shank said premiering the video in this manner allows him to see the response to the project, while raising money for a cause.

“Hopefully, it’s a win-win for everyone,” he said.
