Shag to host fundraiser for Down Syndrome

Shag Restaurant at 37 Wilmington Ave., Rehoboth Beach, will host Dining for Down Syndrome Night from 6 p.m. to closing, Tuesday, July 21.

Twenty percent of all food sales will be donated to support the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk Buddy Walk.

The restaurant will be decorated in blue and gold, and diners will receive party favors and a chance to win a door prize. Shag offers a hip, reasonably priced menu in a very cool patio setting.

Future Dining for Down Syndrome events will be held Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Pig + Fish and Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Cultured Pearl. Both are in downtown Rehoboth Beach.

The Rehoboth Beach Buddy Fest is a community-sponsored event which raises awareness for people with Down syndrome.

The Boardwalk Buddy Walk, which is the signature event, will take place at the Bandstand at 9 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 10.
