Milton brings banjos and seafood downtown

Inaugural Broadkill Banjos & Seafood Festival a hit
October 24, 2014

Hundreds of locals flocked to Milton Memorial Park Oct. 18 for the first Broadkill Banjos & Seafood Festival, hosted by the Milton Chamber of Commerce.

Vendors Espuma, Hobos, Irish Eyes, Modern Mixture Too, The Brick, The Kitchen and Vintage Pasta all served up seafood snacks and entrees as visitors enjoyed local entertainment in the park.

Milton Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Lisa Sumstine said the first festival was a hit, and the chamber plans to bring it back again next year. She said tickets for seafood items – which included crab, artichoke and brie quesadillas as well as plenty of seafood soups – quickly sold out and the crowds surpassed all expectations.
