New businesses open in Milton

December 31, 2014

Three new businesses in downtown Milton celebrated their recent openings – thanks to the state's Project Pop Up – with ribbon-cutting ceremonies Dec. 17.

Wine Knot Shop, P.C. Rods and Nest Spa and Skincare Boutique invited local and state representatives to check out their new spaces in Milton. All three businesses have signed long-term leases, adding to the success of the relatively new Project Pop Up, which gives a boost to local entrepreneurs.

All three businesses opened in October, taking advantage of the program's three months of free rent and business classes. Amy and Patrick Conroy, who run the adjoining Wine Knot Shop and P.C. Rods businesses at Units E and F at 113 Union St., as well as Hillary Reid, owner of Nest Spa at 105 Federal St., were late to join the program, but have now settled into their new brick-and-mortar spaces.
