Festival passes nearly sold-out
June 5, 2015

The 2015 Firefly Music Festival in Dover, ready to welcome 90,000 attendees, has announced its daily schedule for the four-day music event.

Festival goers have known since March which day each artist will perform, but the schedule released June 5 outlines the times and stages for each performer.

Headliner and legendary musician Paul McCartney will perform Friday, June 19, followed by Kings of Leon,  Saturday, June 20, and The Killers, Sunday, June 21, all performing on the Firefly Main Stage.

In addition to the main headliners, Morrissey, Snoop Dog, Foster the People, Zedd, Hozier, Bastille, Modest Mouse and nearly 100 additional acts will make Firefly appearances.

Passes to the music festival are nearly sold-out, and according to Firefly's website, the $329 encore passes are 93 percent sold out. VIP four-day passes are still available for $699.

Attendance at Firefly has tripled, from about 30,000 music lovers at the inaugural 2012 event to the expectation of 90,000 festival-goers this year. A study conducted by the University of Delaware on the economic impact of the 2014 festival boasted that Firefly contributed more than $68 million to the regional economy, including providing the equivalent of 579 full-time jobs.

Firefly will return to the Woodlands at Dover International Speedway Thursday, June 18 through Sunday, June 21, 2015. For more information, go to www.fireflyfestival.com.
