Sometimes it's what you see on the way to the shoot. I've been by this building a time or two, but never in the evening. It was classy before it caught my eye, and now that I have a photograph of it with a golden light shaft filtering through a tree, I will probably revisit it and attempt to make it a celebrity. Thankfully it's on a street of respectful people who understand the importance of character and history.

Photography grounds me and elates me. I am inspired by nature and its perfection. I see things that compel me to take a photograph, things that are ordinary, or small and go unseen by others. This is my purpose as a visual story teller. See my work in the Beach Paper and the Cape Gazette, or visit my website denyhoweth.com.
