Firefly 2015 - Portraits
Meet Mackenzie and Blaine. They are pioneers and the owners of "The Local Branch", a traveling clothing/accessories company with "Made Throughout America" products. They travel across the country, making and selling as they go. I asked them to share an amazing experience they had in their travels: "When we went horseback riding in the Navajo Reservation. It was just us and a native on desert land for six hours. It's like a different country. It is so cool to see cultures in America that are still so different from the mainstream." BY TAYLOR GOEBEL

I met James and Sheila on my way to the premier campsite. James was a security guard for a neighborhood near the entrance, making sure people didn't try to park there. Sheila said, "He could use a hug. Been getting cussed out all day." I gave them both hugs. BY TAYLOR GOEBEL

"The best experiences are always with the nice drunk people who stumble onto your campsite. I think we need more positive human interaction like this." His friend said, "It's nice to have one weekend a year where you aren't afraid to talk to people." BY TAYLOR GOEBEL
