RAL partners with Hobos on opening receptions

August 23, 2015

Rehoboth Art League Board Chairman John Schroeder met with Gretchen Hanson recently to thank her for the tremendous contribution Hobos Restaurant has made to RAL event and exhibition opening receptions.

Since May, Hobos has provided a gourmet spread for the guests at the openings for the exhibitions at the RAL Rehoboth Beach location. They also catered the Cottage Tour Patron Party in July and the Outdoor Show Artist Reception Aug. 8. Attendance at the openings is usually over 100 people.

Hanson, executive chef and owner of Hobos, feels honored to support a local not-for-profit organization. Gretchen explains “Partnering with the art league is a great way to give back to the community and support the mission of the League to teach, inspire and preserve the arts in Southern Delaware.”

Schroeder expressed his deep appreciation for these donations that help maintain the high quality of events and exhibitions and increases the exposure of arts programming in Southern Delaware. “The Rehoboth Art League is deeply appreciative of Gretchen’s generosity and community-minded spirit. The incredible foods she and her staff at Hobos have provided for our exhibition openings and other events has helped elevate the overall quality of each occasion. Working with other community organizations is a win-win proposition for all involved.” he said. “The Art League is able to expand valuable art and education programs because of the generosity of organizations and people like Hobos.”

Hobos is located in downtown Rehoboth Beach at 56 Baltimore Ave. They are open for lunch and dinner. To find out additional information go to myhobos.com.
