Unitarian Universalists to host Holiday Arts and Craft Faire Nov. 7
Holiday shoppers will find a wide variety of unique gifts and delicious baked goods when the Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware host their Second Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Faire from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, at the new church facility at 30486 Lewes-Georgetown Highway west of Lewes. Admission is free.
Along with a wide selection of gifts, accessories, original artworks and decorations, there is an ornament tree covered with unusual handmade holiday ornaments. Just in time for winter weather, there are cozy scarves, hats and mittens. Also featured are boiled wool purses and totes, jewelry, notecards, baby gifts and vine wreaths. Extra-special offerings include a vintage flower quilt and a crochet sampler, both large enough for a queen-size bed.
Barbara Barnette, UUSD’s fundraising chair, says, “UUSD’s talented crafters have worked painstakingly all year to create these beautiful items perfect for the holiday season and all year round. Our Arts and Crafts Faire offers just the right gifts for those special people in our lives and also supports our congregation’s continuing outreach to the community."
Barnette says, “This is also an opportunity to get a jump on holiday baking with freshly baked homemade pies, cakes and cookies for sale, and a beautiful gingerbread house ready to display in your home.”
UUSD is a vibrant and welcoming progressive spiritual community with a faith rooted in love and justice. Proceeds from UUSD’s Second Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Faire will support the mission to nurture spiritual growth, embrace diversity, work for justice and strive for a loving world.
