The Cape Henlopen volleyball squad started off slow Oct. 27, making 16 errors in the first set, but held on to down the Senators 3-0 to move to 12-2 on the season.
Their 25-21, 25-10 and 25-16 scores made the win special on Senior Night when every senior contributed to the victory.
"I was happy that we got to play all of our seniors throughout the match," said head coach Tyler Coupe. "I think Dover challenged us aggressively that first set, and we as a team made 16 errors, which is entirely too many. We cleaned it up in the second set, and we had much more control and played more consistently."
Senior captain Alison Palmer scored nine kills in the match while setter Logan Shuttleworth assisted on 23 Vikings points.
Erin Walsh, Izzie Marsico and Cameron Wick teamed for 11 kills in the match.
The Viking junior varsity squad downed Dover 2-0 to move their record to 9-5 on the season.
The Vikings travel to Delmarva Christian Thursday, Oct. 29, for the final match of the regular season.
