On Nov. 11, the annual Veterans Day Ceremony and Celebration took place at American Legion Post 17 in Lewes. Approximately 75 officers, members and guests gathered in the George Harker Pavilion to honor those men and women who have served, and to celebrate the armed forces who continue to protect Americans today.
The various speakers all touched upon the many facets of this day - respect and awe for veterans, compassion and gratitude to those currently in active duty, and sincere appreciation for the sacrifice the families made while their loved ones were serving our country.
The entire American Legion Family of Post 17 was honored to host this moving celebration of duty, honor and country.
