Anne Doricchi, devoted to family

Anne Doricchi, 90, previously of Palm Coast, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023, at the home of her daughter, Donna Pinelli of Red Hook, N.Y.  Her loving family surrounded her at the time of her passing.

Anne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to many; she will be dearly missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing her.

Anne spent her last several years living with her daughters, Debra Doricchi of Rehoboth Beach, and Donna Pinelli and family of Red Hook.

She was born March 3, 1933, in Bronx, N.Y., daughter of the late Louis and Carmela (Pignataro) Zinzi.  

Anne married Vincent Doricchi Sept. 1, 1950, in Bronx, N.Y. Vincent predeceased her July 4, 2005. Anne and Vincent shared 53 years of marriage together. 

Throughout her career, Anne worked as a secretary. She worked many years with Nanuet School District, Nanuet N.Y., and for Champion Paper Corp. in West Nyack, N.Y.

Anne was a longtime member of the Italian American Club in Palm Coast, Fla. She enjoyed her weekly Mah Jongg and Rummikub get-togethers with her friends. She was deeply devoted to her family and loved spending time with them. She loved being surrounded by the families’ pets, which brought her much comfort.

Anne is survived by her daughters, Donna (Mark) Pinelli of Red Hook, N.Y., and Debra Doricchi of Rehoboth Beach; her sister, Marie Grazio of Florida; three grandsons, Derek (Cloe) Pinelli and their daughter Amelia Anne, Robert (Susan) Pinelli and their son Rafael, and Michael (Regina) Pinelli; along with extended family and friends.

The family is forever grateful for the wonderful care and kindness provided by Hudson Valley Hospice. There are not enough words to express the families’ gratitude.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Anne’s memory to Dutchess County SPCA, 636 Violet Ave., Hyde Park, NY 12538.
