Author talk with CNBC’s Bob Pisani set June 17
The Lewes Public Library and Browseabout Books will welcome Bob Pisani, CNBC senior markets correspondent, for a book signing and discussion at 5 p.m., Saturday, June 17, at the library, 111 Adams Ave., Lewes. The talk will also be available to view live online via Zoom.
Pisani has spent the past 25 years on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, on the front lines of finance for all the major events of the last quarter-century, including the Asian Financial Crisis, the dot-com bubble and collapse, the terrorist attacks of 9/11, and the Great Financial Crisis. His new book, “Shut Up and Keep Talking: Lessons on Life and Investing from the Floor of the New York Stock Exchange,” is an entertaining and revealing account of how financial markets have changed and how they really work.
Pisani’s insights reveal how the investment world has changed, what really moves stocks up and down, why stock picking is so hard, and why the future is so unknowable.
