Dozens of Cape Region children were in the holiday spirit the day before Thanksgiving as they helped organize and deliver more than 1,000 pounds of food to Casa San Francisco in Milton.
From preschoolers to sixth-grade students, more than 50 children from Beach Babies Child Care's Beach Buddies after-school program in Lewes helped carry, mark and organize food donations collected by the students and families for those in need.
Casa San Francisco, a Catholic Charities facility, is an emergency shelter in Milton that provides food for more than 400 families each month, not including emergency supplies and holiday food drives.
