For the second year, Bluecoast Seafood Grill + Raw Bar will be traveling north to the 45th Annual Winterthur Point-to-Point Steeplechase Saturday, May 7. The spring tradition occurs on the rolling grounds of Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library just outside Wilmington.

“Point-to-Point is such a unique Delaware event,” said Chef Doug Ruley, who is overseeing the menu for the occasion. “The women’s over-the-top hats, the tailgates, the antique carriages, and of course, the races make this a don’t-miss annual outing.”

Tickets to the private tent include a rail-side view of the race, VIP parking near the tent, and featured cocktails, wine and beer.

With locations in Rehoboth Beach and Bethany Beach, Bluecoast offers menu selections with a Sussex County flair; they may include: Sussex County deviled eggs, pickled shrimp, chicken salad tartlets, cedar-roasted salmon, Southern-style tomatoes and cucumbers, fresh raw bar selections, backyard macaroni salad and a dessert display.

Speaking of desserts, Pastry Chef Dru Tevis, who oversees Bluecoast’s dessert program, will help judge the tailgate competition. Tevis is the winner of the Food Network’s Holiday Baking Championship.
