Canine pals star in ‘Adventures of Chips & Salsa’
New children’s story book “Adventures of Chips & Salsa,” by Cynthia Petillo is now available at Browseabout Books.
Chips is a happy-go-lucky, friendly beagle. Salsa is a tiny, shy Chihuahua who is new to the neighborhood. Chips and Salsa become fast friends and, before they know it, find themselves on a playful adventure in the park. Although Salsa is tiny, he proves that true loyalty, friendship and love come in all sizes. Chips and Salsa take readers on a fun-filled and exciting journey full of new adventures.
Having grown up in a family with several generations of stray cats and dogs, Petillo was never without a four-legged friend in her childhood home. She cherishes the memories of time spent at her grandfather's farm where she tended to calves, chickens, and a coterie of barn cats and dogs. Her love of animals, especially Kenjo, the Japanese Chin who was a beloved family member and constant companion, was the inspiration for the book.
A resident of Kennett Square, Pa., Petillo volunteers as a patient liaison in the emergency department at A.I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington.
