Cape boys’ lax beats Dover 25-0

The Cape boys’ lacrosse team won 25-0 April 19 at Dover behind a career-high five goals from senior Joe Coveleski.

Cape improves to 6-1 on the season and will play at the Gilman School in Baltimore, Md., Saturday, April 22.

Joining Coveleski in the scoring barrage were Luke Burton, Mike Guenther, Jayden Cannon, Burke Healy and Hank Anderson each with two goals. Single goals were scored by Jack Schell, C.J. Fritchman, Cody Trivits, Anderson Smith, Thomas Gibbs, Brody Smith, Kimwuan Gibbs, Brady Mauro, Brenner Short and Lucas Stevenson.

The Cape at Gilman game is scheduled for 1 p.m. and is listed as Alumni Day. The Greyhounds are 4-6 on the season playing a torturous schedule in the MIAA conference, with losses to Georgetown Prep 13-9, St. Albans 11-9, St. Anthony’s 20-12, Episcopal Academy 11-10, Boys Latin 17-12 and Loyola 10-6.
