The Cape boys’ volleyball team used their height and powerful plays at the net to put up a 25-10, 25-6 and 25-8 victory over Delmarva Christian April 21.
The Vikings teamed for 30 kills in the match. Junior setter Talan Stephens garnered 25 assists.
“A really great night and execution by our boys tonight,” said Cape coach Tyler Coupe. “I thought our serving was great. We decreased our service errors by almost half compared to our last three-set match. We applied a lot of pressure to them, which allowed us to run an effective and efficient offense. We were able to get all players in, run some different rotations and let the boys get after it. I’m really happy with their overall performance, and I think it’ll give us some good energy into Monday.“
The 8-1 Vikings travel to Indian River Monday, April 24, to face the 8-1 Indians.
