Chance meeting inspires man to transform his body

March 19, 2022

At age 51, Mike Sims knew he wanted to get in better shape, but he lacked the direction needed to make it happen. That was until a chance meeting with a friend inspired Mike to make a change that would not only lead to a healthy body, but have a ripple effect on his life, leading to numerous physical and mental benefits.

“I was ready for something different when I ran into a very good friend who I hadn’t seen in months. I almost didn’t recognize him. He looked great and was more vibrant than ever,” said Mike.

That’s when Mike asked his friend what happened and how he made such a positive change. His friend explained that he had just lost 85 pounds by completing our 12-week body transformation. Mike realized he had finally found the direction he needed to put his life on a different path. Soon after, he called us and signed up for the program and was scheduled to get started in late September.

When Mike first joined the program, he didn’t feel bad physically, but after a few short weeks, his perspective of what was normal was dramatically altered.

“I thought I felt really good before I started the program, but I couldn’t have been more wrong about my health. After just a few short weeks on the program, I went through dramatic physical changes on all levels and had an amazing surge of energy and confidence that I had not felt in a very long time,” he said.

But that was just the beginning.

Mike’s progress was very fast. He was extremely regimented and followed my instructions to the letter. Each week he lost an average of two-and-a-half pounds, and his consistent progress motivated him to work even harder. When he finally finished the transformation, he had lost 32 pounds and a total of 42 percent of his starting body fat. His stamina and energy were off the charts. He was now in great shape, but that was not all. There were many mental benefits that surprised him as well.

“I have to say I’m extremely proud of myself and what I have accomplished with the program,” he said. “I am more focused than ever before. The results I achieved have boosted my confidence to the point where I am ready to take on any challenges that are placed in front of me.”

That wasn’t the end of his program, but rather a new beginning.

Mike’s initial transformation was over in early December. Since then, we have shifted the focus to gaining muscle and keeping the great results he has achieved. He continues to improve with each passing week. We started this process by loosening his diet and cutting back on the amount of cardio so he would stay in shape but not burn off valuable muscle mass. Because of this, he has gained size and strength, but stayed lean and in great shape.

When asked what advice he would offer to anyone who wants to get in shape but just can’t find the right path, he said, “Start right now and don’t look back. The only person that can change you is you.”

Congratulations on your transformation, Mike, and I couldn’t agree more.
