Charlotte May Young, real estate broker
Charlotte May (Laube) Young, 79, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, at home surrounded with love by her daughters. She was born in Lancaster, Pa., Nov. 6, 1946, daughter of the late Charles Oscar and Elmira May (Brooks) Laube II.
Charlotte was born and educated in Lancaster, Pa. Her love of architecture prompted her to earn her real estate broker license serving the Lancaster and Rehoboth Beach/Lewes areas for over 40 years. She enjoyed traveling around the world, her pets, and especially her family. She was a devoted and loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Oscar Laube II and Elmira May (Brooks) Laube.
She is survived by her daughters, Karyn L. (Young) and Eric E. Roach of Marco Island, Fla., Lisa D. Young and Mike Jordan of Milton, and Sharon M. (Young) and Paynter Johnson Jr. of Milton; a grandson, Eric E. Roach II of Marco Island; a sister, Patricia A. Potts of Leola, Pa.; a brother, Charles O. Laube III of Lancaster, Pa.; four nephews, Shawn M. Potts, Charles D. Laube (wife Kara), Nicholas Dugan and Sean Perry; one niece, Kelly A. Potts; and two great-nephews Elijah and Jacob Laube.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 30, at Knights of Columbus Meadow Hills, 1575 New Danville Pike, Lancaster, Pa.
Graveside services will be held at noon, Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Henlopen Memorial Park, 28787 Lockerman Road, Milton.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the American Cancer Society, or a local animal shelter.
