Chorale theme is Mozart meets Freddy Mercury April 26

Southern Delaware Chorale will perform “Kings & Queen: Mozart’s Coronation Mass meets Freddie Mercury” at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 26, at Epworth UMC, Rehoboth.

Audiences will step into a bold musical experience where classical grandeur meets rock royalty. The program brings together the brilliance of Mozart’s soaring sacred masterpiece and the electrifying anthems of Queen in one unforgettable concert.

From the majesty of the coronation hall to the raw power of the arena stage, this performance celebrates timeless genius, iconic voices and the music that continues to reign across centuries.

Featuring a powerful selection of choral works inspired by kings, queens and legendary rock stars, the engaging and diverse program blends classical masterworks with classic rock favorites including “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Under Pressure” and “Don’t Stop Me Now.”

Under the direction of its talented co-directors, Joey Shortall and Sarah Rose, the Southern Delaware Chorale continues its 40-year tradition of delivering high-quality choral performances that inspire, entertain and bring the community together. “Kings & Queen” promises to be a memorable musical experience showcasing the strength, elegance and versatility of the ensemble.
