Clear Space Theatre begins executive director search

Clear Space Theatre has begun its search for an experienced, innovative and forward-thinking leader to serve as managing director.

Operating under a dual-leadership structure, the managing director, along with David Button, artistic director, will report to a volunteer board of directors.

The managing director will focus on advancing the mission of CST as well as strategic planning, board relations, accounting, budgeting and financial management. Other responsibilities include fundraising, development, outreach, human resources and general business operations.

Clear Space Theatre has five full-time employees and an annual operating budget of approximately $1.2 million. The managing director will work with the staff, the board of directors and volunteers to continue artistic endeavors of integrity and risk at Clear Space Theatre.

A nonprofit regional theatre, Clear Space has been serving residents and visitors to Southern Delaware since 2004.  Located at 20 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach, Clear Space performs 13 shows during its season and has year-round performing arts opportunities for children and adults. Clear Space Theatre is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
