Cyclists honor Patrick Feeks, killed in action in Afghanistan

June 27, 2014

Family and friends of a Navy SEAL who was killed in action rode 100 miles, from Kent Island, Md., to Dewey Beach. In all, 15 people ages 13 to 72 rode The Patrick Feeks Memorial 100 Mile Bike Ride to honor Feeks, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2012. The second annual event raised money for the Wounded Warriors Foundation, a nonprofit that provides electronic devices to wounded veterans of the Iraq and Afghan wars. This year's ride started at 8 a.m. and ended in Dewey at 4:30 p.m., followed by a celebration dinner at the Rusty Rudder.
