Day trip to Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk set Oct. 15

September 22, 2019

Gallery One organizers announced that reservations are now open for the Tuesday, Oct. 15 bus trip to the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, Va.

The bus will depart at about 6:30 a.m. and return at 6:30 p.m. There will be two pickup/drop-off sites, one in the Ocean View/Bethany area and the other in the Lewes/Rehoboth area.

Highly regarded for its glass collection, the Chrysler is one of America’s most distinguished mid-sized art museums. Founded in 1933, the museum was greatly expanded in 1971 when Walter P. Chrysler brought his collection of more than 10,000 pieces of art to Norfolk.

The visit will include a private museum tour, after which participants can view the full collection of paintings and enjoy a demonstration at the glass studio opposite the museum. Lunch is available in the museum’s Wisteria Café.

Travel to and from the museum will be in a deluxe touring bus with amenities for travel comfort. Snacks and water will be provided. The cost of the trip is $72, due at the time of reservation.

To make a reservation, call Gallery One at 302-537-5055 or go to www.galleryonede.com.
