Denny Oswald Clark, U.S. Navy retiree
Denny Oswald Clark, 87, of Washington, D.C., passed away Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at the Armed Forces Retirement Home. Denny was born May 18, 1934, in Rehoboth, the son of Oswald Winchester and Nettie Clark. Denny served in the armed forces and retired from the Navy as an electrician's mate senior chief petty officer (E8). After the Navy, Denny continued his nautical life as a Merchant Marine.
Denny was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Elouise Clark, and former wife, Barbara Ann (Suarez) Clark; and a daughter, Dennise G. (Parker) Clark. He is survived by sons: Dennis T. Clark (Victoria) and Denny O. Clark Jr. (Filiz); a loving niece, Sheila Malloy; his grandchildren, Denika T. Clark Knox (Derrick), Emanuel Lerry Leggett Clark (Nikola), and Daniel Miguel Leggett Clark; great-grandchildren, Ainsley V. Clark Knox, Skyler P. Clark Knox, Derrick C. Clark Knox, Brenna D. Clark Knox, and Ilana Claudia Clark.
During his final years, Denny developed a very close and mutually supportive relationship with Dennise, as they both battled with cancer.
Interment will take place at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 3, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, 26669 Patriots Way, Millboro.
