Dogfish opens new kitchen at Milton brewery

Calagione always looking to enhance visitor experience
July 10, 2018

Dogfish Head has opened a new kitchen offering handcrafted pizzas, calzones, burritos, sandwiches and more at Dogfish’s Milton brewery.

In addition, there are beer-infused items such as grilled cheese with 60 Minute IPA Pub Cheese, the Midas Touch-marinated pulled pork sandwich, brats topped with 90 Minute IPA sauerkraut, Namaste curried chicken salad wraps and a Palo Santo-infused chili.

Dogfish CEO and founder Sam Calagione said the new kitchen will allow the company’s chefs to experiment with new recipes. “We’re continually looking for creative ways to further enhance our visitor experience, and this new place and its offerings will accomplish just that,” he said.

The 329-square foot kitchen came under construction in early 2018. Dogfish began building the kitchen earlier this year in response to the increasing number of visitors to the Milton brewery. Dogfish unveiled its Bunyan’s Lunchbox food truck in 2013 as a way to pair beer-focused foods, mainly brats and sausage, with Dogfish beers. But demand soon overwhelmed the equipment in the food truck, leading to the new kitchen, which began serving July 1. Bunyan’s Lunchbox will now be used for special events.

Cold cans are available for purchase at the kitchen, but the full lineup of beers will be in the tasting room. The kitchen is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
