Doodles and their owners converged on Dewey Beach and Rehoboth Beach for the two-decade-old Doodles in Dewey event.
Now hosted by PAWS for People, the event began in 2005. The 2026 edition took place the weekend of April 24.
The weekend-long gathering began April 24 with the Doodle Costume Parade, which drew nearly 100 dogs and hundreds of people to the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk.
The next day, the doodles hit the beach at McKinley Avenue for a day of fun in Dewey Beach.
A beach yoga session scheduled for April 26 was canceled due to cold temperatures and wet conditions. However, there were Yappy Hours all weekend long at participating restaurants in Rehoboth and Dewey.
PAWS for People is a nonprofit organization committed to providing therapeutic visits to any person in the community who would benefit from interaction with a well-trained, loving pet.
