Edward Morgan, defense department retiree
On Sunday, March 29, 2015, Edward Morgan of Millsbor lost his long fought battle with his health, with his loving wife, Sheila Morgan, by his side. He was born Sept. 8, 1946, in Morristown, N.J. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Morgan; and his mother, Mildred Lovell
Edward is survived by his wife Sheila; his sister Mary Howell of Tennessee; his four sons, Edward (John) of Washington, Christopher and his wife Nicky of California Matthew of Maryland, and Kevin and his wife Jannette of Maryland; and stepsons, Tom Morehouse and his wife Cindy of Maryland, and Jim Morehouse and his wife April of Delaware. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ed served 22 years in the Army traveling around the world and across the United States. He then served another 22 years working for the Department of Defense. Upon his move to Delaware with his wife in 2007, he became a lifetime member of VFW Post 2931, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 546 and American Legion Post 28.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept.11, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
