Envirotech Environmental Consulting Inc. participated in two educational outreach events in October, in an effort to educate the public about the importance of successful environmental management service planning in ecologically sensitive areas.
During the annual event for the Delaware Invasive Species Council Oct. 21 at the Delaware Agricultural Museum, Envirotech presented information on invasive species and offered solutions to managing control of invasive vegetation such as phragmites australis. EECI representatives also learned from professionals and experts employed in invasive vegetation management fields.
EECI representatives also attended the Sea Witch Festival Oct. 24 and 25 to share knowledge about environmental management services. They also provided thousands of people with the opportunity to learn about macroinvertebrates found in many ecologically sensitive areas in the region utilizing a containment display and touch tank.
Attendees were educated about the significance of maintaining environmental health to provide macroinvertebrates with thriving habitats. EECI staff members provide macroinvertebrates with habitats through environmental management service planning done in communities and commercial sites in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
EECI’s mission is to provide comprehensive environmental management services to achieve environmentally sound and aesthetically pleasing results that meet environmental regulatory policy and ecological needs. Many of the well-designed and professionally engineered communities in the local region contain ecologically sensitive areas that require short- and long-term management planning.
EECI provides best management practices to restore, improve and maintain ecosensitive management units such as stormwater management systems (including but not limited to ponds, bio-swales and retention basins), coastlines and riparian zones, forested areas, wetlands and large or small community open spaces.
