The Town of Bethany Beach announced the winning photos for its annual calendar contest.
The contest garnered entries from 88 amateur and professional photographers all vying for the grand prize of a 2020 VIP parking permit, good for free parking at any space within town limits during the summer season.
Congratulations go to Patty O’ Brien of Rockville, Md., this year’s grand prize winner and her photogenic dog named Beau.
A total of 450 photo submissions were narrowed down to 56 semi-finalists, 17 of which made it into the calendar.
The following will receive photo credit and a free calendar for their winning entries: Mary Fances Berger, Courtney Cunningham, Ken Collins, Al Gruber, Richard Schneider, Ed Hill Photography, Stan Jakubik, Anastasia Kotsiras, Bess Kotsiras, David Maull, Steve Pociask, Julie Pohl, Cinde Reichard, Michael Schaber, Nella Neary and Lori Staniewicz.
The calendar is distributed to an estimated 3,200 households and available for sale Town Hall beginning Friday, May 1, and at the Seaside Craft Show information tent Saturday, June 6. All photos will be considered for use on the town’s website and marketing efforts.
