Sussex County Habitat for Humanity celebrated the third anniversary of the opening of its ReStore April 20. The ReStore in Georgetown is a resale center for appliances, cabinets, doors and windows, furniture, tools and some building materials. Promoting reuse and recycling ReStore provides an environmentally and socially responsible way to keep good, reusable materials out of the waste stream while providing funding for the construction of simple, decent, and affordable homes for Sussex County families.

Habitat also announced that in the past three quarters of the 2010-11 fiscal year, ReStore has raised $75,000 in profits to go toward the construction costs of a future Habitat home in Sussex County.
