Heidi Lowe Studio to offer jewelry classes July 1

June 24, 2020

Heidi Lowe Studio will offer two jewelry classes Wednesday, July 1. A silver ring class will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Students will create a gift for themselves, making a ring while learning basic metalsmithing skills such as sawing, filing, forming and soldering. No two rings are alike as each student will personalize their ring to their liking.

During the afternoon class from 2 to 4:30 p.m., students will create a souvenir from their time at the beach. Each student will design a pendant or charm out of silver that represents what they love about this special place, Rehoboth Beach. This class will also cover basic metalsmithing techniques such as piercing, texturing and soldering.

“It’s really fun to watch people create their first piece of jewelry and be able to wear it out the door,” said Lowe.

Class registration is open to anyone over age 13. Classes are $100 per person plus the price of materials, which varies. Registration is limited and advance registration is required. For more information and to register, go to www.heidilowegallery.com. The studio is following the CDC guidelines during classes, and students are expected to abide by them.

Heidi Lowe Gallery in Rehoboth Beach is under construction at the moment. Its temporary studio space is off Route 9 at the Five Points intersection. The space is open by appointment. For more information, call 302-227-9203.
