Hispanic heritage celebrated in Georgetown

Race Street in Georgetown was alive Sept. 12 with the smells of roasted meat and the colorful flags of places such as Puerto Rico, Honduras, Mexico and Guatemala.

Maxima Hispanic Festival brought together food vendors, merchants and everything in between: car dealerships, live music, DJs, medical organizations offering COVID-19 vaccinations and job recruiters.

Ryan Mavity covers Milton and the court system. He is married to Rachel Swick Mavity and has two kids, Alex and Jane. Ryan started with the Cape Gazette all the way back in February 2007, previously covering the City of Rehoboth Beach.
