Hoey Stevenson: new candidate, new leadership

October 22, 2024

I am writing today on behalf of Kim Hoey Stevenson, the state Senate candidate for District 6.

Kim and I have been friends for 14 years. Over these years, I've seen her grow, both as a person and a friend. I know her to be truthful, honest, extremely hardworking, and not easily rattled; all of which are highly valuable both in a friend and in a state Senate candidate.

Kim has the unique (in these days) ability to be fair and open-minded when working with people on both sides of the aisle. She sat on the Sussex County Planning & Zoning Commission for years, working with people from all different backgrounds and personalities to do her part in keeping Sussex County a great place to live. This experience has given her the necessary outlook for all of the overdevelopment happening, how congested the local roads have become, and has provided her the skills to be able to do something about it. I know that if elected, Kim will continue to work her hardest and do her best to serve us, the people who live here.
