Joyce Ann Biddle-Mulhern, cherished family, friends

Joyce Ann Biddle-Mulhern, 73, of Georgetown, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025.

Joyce was born Sept. 19, 1952, in Wilmington, and attended Colwyck Elementary School in New Castle and Delcastle Technical High School in Wilmington. Joyce dedicated her life to her family and friends. She will be fondly remembered for her warm smile, generous spirit, love of family, quick wit, and unwavering kindness.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Martina Biddle; and brother, Chuck. Joyce is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, Richard L. Mulhern; son, Keith Wilson; daughter-in-law, Danielle Wilson; daughter, Jessica Brown; stepson, Richard A. Mulhern; stepdaughters, Shannon and Wendi Mulhern; grandchildren, Aughtum, Alisha, Meredith, Ryan and Reid; and great-grandchildren, Maeve and Mason.

Joyce had a fulfilling career that encompassed bookkeeping, accounting, and her dog grooming business. In addition to her professional life, she found great joy in spending time with family and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 28, at Melson’s Funeral Chapel, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro. All are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joyce’s memory to the American Heart Association, heart.org; or Brandywine Valley SPCA, bvspca.org/donate/wishlist.

Joyce will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live in the hearts of her family and friends.
