The Jefferson School hosted two sold-out shows featuring Kate the Chemist Jan. 11. Kate Biberdorf breaks stereotypes and blows stuff up. Biberdorf goes for emotional responses, rather than rote memorization of facts to reach students who might otherwise be intimidated by science. Using fire, dry ice and chemicals, Biberdorf involves students to create a spectacle, leaving the audience with a memorable impression of science.
