Kay Marvel Leibforth, enjoyed many hobbies

Kay Marvel Leibforth, 77, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away in her sleep Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at her home. She was born March 15, 1945, in Easton, MD., daughter of the late Kenley C. and Beatrice (McCormick) Marvel.

Mrs. Leibforth began a career as a baker, working for Cape School District and Christmas Tree Hill.  In 1963, she married the love of her life, Jay Frederick Leibforth Sr., in Waycross, Ga., and together raised their beautiful family. Mrs. Leibforth had many interests and hobbies. She loved shopping, cooking, relaxing on the beach, and spending time with her adored grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Loved by all who knew her, she will be deeply and genuinely missed.

Mrs. Leibforth is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Jay Frederick Leibforth Sr.; her daughter, Janet Schneider (Adam) of Georgetown; her son, Jay Frederick Leibforth Jr. of Lewes; her grandchildren: Matthew Schneider (Jessica) of Milford, Benjamin Ryan Schneider of Tampa, Fla., Meghan Leigh Schneider of Pensacola, Fla., Jay Frederick Leibforth III (Amanda) of Laurel, and Brian Charles Leibforth of Lewes; her great-grandchildren: Lauren Schneider and Owen Leibforth; and her cousins: Rosanne Hall  (Irving) of Lincoln, and Carol Ann Chapis (John) of Seaford.

Services are private.

Final care for Ms. Leibforth has been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
