Lewes chamber passport program to launch March 20

March 10, 2021

The Lewes Chamber of Commerce has created a Spring Passport initiative to celebrate spring. From March 20 until May 15, everyone has the opportunity to spend some time discovering or rediscovering what makes Lewes so special.

The passport lists 22 activities that are family-friendly, for all age groups, and are mostly outside. Passport holders check off at least 10 activities and submit the completed passport to be entered in the drawing for three lucky winners to get Lewes swag and gift certificates. It is on the honor system! The entry form asks what the favorite activity was, and the winning activity will be announced along with the three winners May 17.

A sampling of the activities include: Fly a kite at Cape Henlopen State Park; Stroll through one of the city parks to see the tulips in April; Paddle the canal; Dine out on the east side of the canal; Dine out on the west side of the canal; Hold a private beach clean-up; Go to the Lewes Farmers Market in May; Shop in Lewes for a special-occasion gift and post a selfie by one of the murals in town or inside or outside the ferry terminal.  Participants submit completed passport at the Lewes Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center, 120 Kings Highway, located in Zwaanendael Park, or scan a copy and email it to inquiry@leweschamber.com. Deadline for entry is May 15 and only one entry per person.

Passports are available at the Lewes Chamber Visitor Center, at many Lewes businesses, retail and restaurants on both sides of the canal and at the Lewes Ferry terminal. They also can be downloaded at leweschamber.com
