Students have spent the last several months preparing for the performance, learning choreography, memorizing lines and developing their vocal skills. Their hard work is evident each time they take the stage, capturing the spirit and optimism of “Annie Jr.,” while demonstrating confidence and enthusiasm throughout the show.

The production is led by directors Hadley Fulton and Veronica De Bartolo, who have been guiding students through the rehearsal process and are helping them to bring out their best both individually and as an ensemble. The performance is also supported by music teacher Maysi Tims as the musical director, and Hannah Petterson, a retired Lewes Elementary teacher who has created all of the props, costumes and set pieces.

“We are incredibly proud of this group of students and the hard work they have put into Annie Jr.,” said Fulton. “Being able to inspire our students to do challenging things like standing in front of an audience has been a rewarding experience. They have shown amazing growth throughout this process. We are excited to share the show with families, friends and the greater Lewes community.”

“We love creating rewarding and inspiring experiences for students so that they can find their passion and gifts from an early age,” said De Bartolo. “It is such a privilege to help them explore the arts and start finding their own voice. It’s been inspiring to see their creativity shine and their confidence grow with every rehearsal and performance.”
