Lewes library thanks raffle fundraiser sponsors

April 21, 2019

The Lewes Public Library just wrapped up its 31 Chances to Win fundraiser.

The support of the library's patrons, who bought 766 tickets, made for a successful event netting over $11,000 to help fund the library's many free programs and services.

None of this would have been possible without the tremendous support shown by contributing local businesses. The library asks the community to join in thanking and supporting the businesses and organizations that donated gift certificates: Agave Mexican Restaurant, Aquamarine, Baker Petroleum, The Beacon Motel, Biblion Used Books & Rare Finds, Big Fish Grill, Big Oyster Brewery, Bling Salon & Spa, Blooming Boutique, Coastal Concerts, The Counting House, Dairy Queen of Lewes, Deanna’s, Dogfish Head Restaurants, Dogfish Head Inn, Edie Bee’s Confection Shop, Floral Inspirations, Flowers By Mayumi, Half Full, Highway One Company Restaurants, Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant, Jewelry Exchange of Delaware, Kids' Ketch, Kindle, Lefty's Alley & Eats, Lewes Chamber of Commerce, Lewes Gifts, Lewes Gourmet, Lewes Wear, The Movies At Midway, Nectar Cafe & Juice Bar, Nike Factory Store, Palate Bistro, Pig & Publican, PUPS of Lewes, Puzzles, R&L Liquors, Revelation Craft Brewing Company, Sand N Stones, Shorebreak, SoDel Concepts Restaurants, The Station on Kings Café & Market, The Stepping Stone, Striper Bites, sweetFrog, Teller Wines, Treasures, Twila Farrell, Villa Sorrento, The Vintage Underground and Waves Car Wash.

The Lewes Public Library is an independent library and, as such, must raise over 50 percent of its annual operating funds every year. Fundraisers, annual appeals and endowment contributions all go toward keeping the doors open and offering the wonderful programs and services available to the Lewes community.
